Kelvin and Samwel

Kelvin and Samwel’s childhoods were marked by sacrifice. At a young age, instead of going to school like other children, they were employed to look after livestock so that the families they served could afford to educate their own children. In giving up their own chance at education, they were left behind forgotten by a system that should have protected them.

But their story didn’t end there.

When they heard about Great Hope Children’s Home, they saw a second chance. Despite their age, they were determined to return to school and reclaim the future they had once been denied.

Samwel enrolled in primary school and, with hard work and dedication, recently completed his primary education—an incredible achievement given his late start. Kelvin, driven and disciplined, is now nearing the end of high school. He currently serves as the Christian Union leader at his school and is a role model for younger students.

At the home, Kelvin is not just a student he’s a leader. As the oldest boy, he naturally takes responsibility for the younger children, guiding them with kindness and maturity. He also plays the keyboard at church and continues to show strong leadership qualities in every area of his life.

Kelvin and Samwel are proof that it’s never too late to dream again. Their journey reminds us that with love, opportunity, and faith, lives can be transformed.
